EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: NMDWS will no longer accept Prepaid Debit Card accounts as a direct deposit payment option for Unemployment Insurance benefits. Only verified checking and saving accounts from FDIC financial institutions will be accepted.
FEDERAL UI BENEFITS: The last payable week for all federal extensions, referred to as EUC benefits or tiers, was for week ending 12/28/2013. Unless Congress passes another law, no federal extended benefits can be paid for any weeks that you are unemployed past 12/28/2013, even if there is a balance on your federal extension claim. Any Congressional action or updates about federal extensions will be posted on our website at www.dws.state.nm.us.
